Despina Namwembe
Despina is a social scientist with a Master’s in Peace and Conflict Studies. She coordinates the work of over 70 grassroots interfaith organizations doing different social action in the Great Lakes countries of Africa. Despina is a community organizer, trainer, and mentor in organizational development and peace work. Growing up on a continent that sometimes fuses strong customs with religion to deter the full participation of women, Despina has a passion for addressing issues that support women and girls to achieve their full potential. She has widely
traveled, which has helped her conceive many “out of the box” solutions which have changed lives. She is also a contributor to different literature in the areas of interfaith, gender, environment and peace building work.

Nabuwufu Aida is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with over 9 years of experience in accounting additionally, she has expertise in tax preparation, financial analysis, audit compliance, financial planning, budgeting, and cash flow management.

May Mwanje has a Masters in Human Rights, a degree in Social Sciences (MUK) and advanced training in International Human Rights Education from Equitas-Canada. She has over 13 years of NGO related program work, with an explicit contribution towards change in Uganda’s multifaceted context and a few countries in the Great Lakes Africa. She has extensively participated in the design and implementation of projects premised on countering violent extremism, non-violent conflict resolution, Interfaith Dialogue, Gender justice and Human
rights, Governance, and a few livelihood programs. May’s core expertise is in Social Research, Gender and Human rights, interfaith dialogue, local and international Rapporteuring, Luganda Translation, development communication and documentation with a bias in Graphics Design and content development. Socially her passions revolve around physical fitness, travel and adventure and servant ministry.
Legal & Human Rights Officer
Zaria Ddamulira
Zaria Ddamulira Nanyonga is a Ugandan from the Central Region. She is a lawyer by profession with 17 years’ experience in implementing and managing legal, human rights and peace building programmes and projects. She is zealous about supporting and reaching out to indigent and vulnerable persons especially women, children and the elderly mostly in legal, human rights and peace related matters. In this regard, she has primarily dedicated her professional carrier and endeavors in working with organizations that work towards supporting
such individuals. She is indeed fulfilled that for all the period she has spent engaged in this work, she has managed to transform many lives and her focus and goal is to continue changing as many lives as possible through what she loves to do most which includes using her capabilities to change lives.
