A survivor’s story about the 9/11 New York twin bombings

While in preparations for my presentation about the Judaist experience in my country, Uganda, the Twin towers in New york which happened to be the venue of my presentation were blown up just in a flash, in what appeared to be religiously motivated terrorism. I carried the effect of this grave experience on my heart until I returned to my country and i  couldn’t rest until I shared it with some of my colleagues back home. I knew better that a similar attack could be possible even in our country (because we had earlier experienced urban based terror attacks with small bombs in the capital city)  if we didn’t undertake some preventive actions. This gave birth to Peace Kawomera Cooperative Association CC, an initiative where we strive to convey  peace message among people of diverse religious and ethnic backgrounds. Literally, “as one drinks our delicious coffee, the aroma in it makes one feel peaceful and wishing that the peace never ceases!”, narrated by JJ Keki (left) a co-Founder of Peace Kawomera CC in Uganda.
