Project on Monitoring the Electoral Promises of Members of Parliament, LCV and Councilors during the 2016 Campaigns and Post Service Delivery

The project was aimed at building a strong electorate that is able to hold the elected members to commit to their electoral promises which in effect would contribute towards effective service delivery and took a course of for 4 years until 2019. It was targeting political leaders, parliamentary and local government candidates, community leaders, and government officials, in 3 districts of Uganda, namely; Nakaseke, Mukono and Kayunga, to ensure they adhered to the principle of accountable leadership and also use the available platform to widely reach out to the project beneficiaries. The project was spearheaded by highly credible religious, cultural and opinion leaders in the target districts and was funded by the Open Society Initiative of Eastern Africa (OSIEA).
